Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy

There are a number of different categories in counselling and Psychotherapy. I am qualified in the psychodynamic approach. This way of working focuses on your experiences of the past and how they affect your behaviour today.

Working psychodynamically allows you to explore unresolved issues and conflicts from the distant and indeed recent past which maybe affecting you in the present.

Working together in this way helps us to identify and to explore the probable causes of the issues you currently have in your life and to find a resolution to them.

The main aim of counselling and psychotherapy is to address these issues that are causing you pain, distress or discomfort so you can move on and begin to enjoy your life.

Therapy is there to alleviate your symptoms and to make you feel better about yourself and how you feel. Talking therapy is a good way to help you take away unwanted and sometimes uncomfortable feelings.
